We invite you to join us for a lively and interactive evening (FREE TO ATTEND) where we will recognize our great community and honor recent graduates from the educational programs of the Small Business Innovation Fund (SBIF) in Island county. Meet and mingle with your region's startups, entrepreneurs, small business owners. Many of them will showcase/sell their products. Hear from experts, entrepreneur support organizations, and support Island County's entrepreneurial ecosystem!

The Elevate Island County Showcase is hosted by the Economic Development Council for Island County (EDC), the Economic Development Alliance of Skagit County (EDASC), and Regional Accelerator & Innovation Network (RAIN) Catalysts. The event will celebrate the local business community and recognize the recent graduates of RAINcap Bootcamp: Learn How to Raise Funds for Your Business, The Destination Creation Course: Make Your Business or Community a Destination, and RAINcap Bootcamp in Spanish. 

About the SBIF Fund: In 2022, the Island County EDC submitted a bold proposal to the Washington Department of Commerce’s Small Business Innovation Fund grant program in partnership with EDASC and RAIN Catalysts to help elevate a regional/rural entrepreneurial ecosystem in Island and Skagit Counties. The proposal was awarded a $1,159,216 grant to support small business recovery and spur entrepreneurship through a carefully designed program to connect rural, BIPOC, women, and low-income entrepreneurs to the experts, tools, and capital they need to boost their businesses in the two-county region.
